College Career

In his three years at the University of Texas, Kody Clemens was a standout player in the Big 12 Conference. He compiled a career batting average of .251 with 52 RBIs and 18 homeruns. In 2018, he was named a finalist for the Golden Spikes Award, which is given to the top college baseball player in the nation.

Minor League Career

After being drafted in the 11th round of the 2018 MLB Draft by the Detroit Tigers, Clemens began his minor league career in 2019. He played for the Single-A West Michigan Whitecaps and Double-A Erie SeaWolves, hitting a combined .242 with 13 home runs and 52 RBIs.

Prospect Rankings

Clemens is considered a top prospect in the Tigers' organization. He is ranked as the #5 prospect by MLB Pipeline and the #10 prospect by Baseball America. He is praised for his strong arm, fielding skills, and offensive potential.

Other Accomplishments

In addition to his college and minor league statistics, Clemens has also played for Team USA and the Texas Rangers' Rookie League team. He was a member of the Team USA squad that won the bronze medal at the 2018 World Baseball Softball Confederation Under-23 World Cup.

Clemens is the son of former MLB pitcher Roger Clemens. He is looking to follow in his father's footsteps and make his MLB debut in the near future.
