Attention all eligible residents: the City of Mississauga is seeking dedicated and enthusiastic individuals to serve as election workers for the upcoming June 10, 2024 By-election. By volunteering your time, you will play a crucial role in ensuring a fair and smooth electoral process for our city.

Positions Available

We are hiring for a variety of positions, including:

  • Returning Officer: The Returning Officer is responsible for overseeing the entire electoral process within the city, including the recruitment and training of election workers.
  • Deputy Returning Officer: The Deputy Returning Officer assists the Returning Officer in managing the electoral process, including setting up polling stations and overseeing the voting process.
  • Poll Clerk: Poll Clerks assist voters with the registration process, ensure the secrecy of the ballot, and count the votes after the polls close.
  • Registration Officer: Registration Officers assist voters with registering to vote, updating their voter information, and issuing voter cards.
